MacDonald Ranch
Sun City MacDonald Ranch was Del Webb’s second active retirement community in the greater Las Vegas area. It is ideally situated just off the I-215 Beltway. Lake Mead is just 30 minutes to the ease. McCarran International Airport is just 10 minutes to the north. In fact, just about every destination across the entire Las Vegas Valley is less than an hour away.
One attraction in the age-restricted neighborhood is the 36,000 sq ft clubhouse, which offers an endless array of activities. Inside is a fitness center, billiards room, library, dance studio, and a grand ballroom. Outside the clubhouse residents enjoy a lap pool, spa, bocce ball, lighted tennis courts, and nine miles of hiking and biking trails.
This master-planned community includes about 2500 homes spread over more than 500 acres. About 2100 are single-family homes and the rest are duplexes. Most were constructed between 1996 and 2001. The MacDonald Ranch community offers a more intimate feel than other Sun City communities in Nevada.
Billy Casper and Greg Nash collaborated to design the Desert Willow Golf Course, which is owned by the residents of this golf course community. This is a quality executive-style par 60 course that can be played in only about 3 1/2 hours.
